About

I am a senior researcher at INESC TEC, with extensive experience in team leadership and project management.

I have a BSc degree in Electrical and Computer Engineer (1990) and a Postgraduate in Management Information (2004), both from the Engineering Faculty of Porto University.

Since 1990 I have been involved in dozens of R&D projects supporting the adoption of advanced IT solutions and in the last decade I took part in several networks and R&D projects, mainly in the Mobility and Transport and Health sectors.

My main references in Health sector include projects with the new hospital in Matosinhos, São João hospital (several projects), Portuguese Institute of Oncology and National Coordination for HIV / AIDS infection. Between 2012 and 2015 I was INESC TEC representative at Health Cluster Portugal Association.

My main references in Mobility and Transport sector include the following projects: Mobility Competence Network (2006-2008), as coordinator; Sustained Electrical Mobility project (2009-2012); Intelligent Car Taxation Systems and Services project (2011-2014); Health Intelligent Pavement System (2014), a Horizon 2020 proposal. Since 2008 I am INESC TEC representative at the ITS Portugal Association.
