Description

Navigation and Autonomous Underwater Technology for Infrastructure Long-term Unmanned Surveillance

The NAUTILUS Project addresses two main issues relevant to increase the reliability of long-term operations of underwater vehicles: a) fault tolerance: realtime fault detection, adaptation to fault conditions, and working in degraded modes of operation; b) docking stations: comprehensive perception techniques to increase chances of success, advanced control systems to overcome disturbances and recovery from unsuccessful docking operations.
