Abstract
This paper presents a trajectory controller for an omni-directional mobile robot. The controller presents important features, as the possibility of defining different translation velocities and angular positions to the robot during the trajectory following. The parameters of the controller are optimizated based on trajectory following simulations, with the mobile robot model. Simulation and real results of trajectory following are presented.

Abstract
The development of ontologies to unify and to put into context the different concepts and terms of the traditional and locally colored construction industry domains is a necessary step to avoid misinterpretations and inefficient communication. The KNOW-CONSTRUCT project, as an approach to this task, decided to re-use existing ontologies, classification systems, and other semantic resources to develop a system for the integration, management, and reuse of the area specific knowledge via a common knowledge base to consolidate and provide access to integrated knowledge, making community emergent knowledge a significant added value. The Know-Construct project' intends to improve the effectiveness of the Construction Industry (CI) SME's (Small and Medium Enterprise) by improving and extending the relationship with their customers through an innovative support regarding information and knowledge about products, processes and associated issues. © 2006 Copyright

Abstract
This paper presents the experimental dynamic parameters identification of an omni-directional mobile robot with four wheels. Three methods of parameters identification related to dynamic equations are described, the parameters are the viscous frictions, the coulomb frictions and the inertia moment of the robot. A simulation environment, simulation results and real results are presented.

Abstract
Unbalanced feeders produce problems and risky situations since they can trip protection devices, reduce the efficiency and damage some appliances. Therefore achieve the balance of the networks will mean an improvement of the electric service and reduction expenses. The proposed program is a tool for balancing the electric networks; swapping loads among phases of the main lines, to assure that the loads average among the phases of the main lines not do not in large magnitudes. It is assumed that all loads have the same power factor and voltage drops are not considered. As a fundamental contribution of this work, an additional restriction is added to the mathematical model that avoids the introduction of additional phases.

Abstract
The paper describes the current regulatory situation in England with respect to medical devices and healthcare providers. Trusts already produce evidence to the Healthcare Commission that they operate in accordance with standards set out by the Department of Health and the NHS, The paper illustrates how the adoption of an explicit goal-based argument could facilitate the identification and assessment of secondary implications of proposed changes. The NHS is undergoing major changes in accordance with its 10-year modernisation plan. These changes cannot be confined to the Trust level, but will have NHS-wide implications. The paper explores the possibility of an organisational safety case, which could be a useful tool in the management of such fundamental changes. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2006.
