Abstract
Background: The estimation of the real number of COVID-19 infected people is one of the concerns of the governments around the world. In this sense, this study seeks to assess the incidence and fatality of COVID-19 in Europe considering the expected number of the infected cases. Methods: A quantitative exploratory study was performed on the top 10 countries most affected by COVID-19 by 9th June in Europe. Furthermore, this study presents three propagation estimation models of the COVID-19 that help us to understand the real incidence of the pandemic in each country. Each model is briefly explained and applied. Results: The findings revealed a great heterogeneity of COVID-19 cases and deaths among the countries. The indicator of the number of deaths reveals the greatest disparity between other countries with the United Kingdom, recording about 6 or 7 times more deaths than Russia or Germany. Infection fatality rate (IFR) tends to be a more reliable indicator when analyzing data because it is less dependent on the number of tests performed. Conclusion: Several estimation models can be used to determine the incidence of COVID-19. However, their results in European countries are still quite asymmetrical although they are more reliable than just looking at the perspective of the number of cases or deaths recorded. The infection fatality rate (IFR) emerges as a more accurate indicator by estimating the expected number of registered cases, which includes asymptomatic cases and patients with mild symptoms that are not known and reported by health authorities. © 2020 The authors.

Abstract
In this article, a multilevel single-phase converter is proposed and investigated. Its structure is based on cascaded-transformer systems, which are very interesting in applications in which a single dc source is available. The features of well-known multilevel cascaded H-bridge and transformer-based solutions are integrated into the proposed converter. As a result, the number of synthesized voltage levels can be optimized without excessively increasing the number of transformers. The basic configuration has six two-level insulated-gate bipolar transistor legs, two injection transformers, and two dc links (the lowest voltage dc link may be a floating capacitor or be connected to a small dc power source). The configuration is generalized and the calculation of the transformer's turns ratios as well as the dc-link voltages to maximize the number of voltage levels is provided. The proposed configuration is compared with cascaded H-bridge and a single-phase shared leg converter, which are also cascaded by means of transformers. Compared with the conventional converters, the proposed one has lower switching losses and higher conduction losses. Thus, the proposed configuration is more interesting in terms of semiconductor losses for high-voltage and low-current applications. Experimental and simulation results are shown to demonstrate the feasibility of the system.

Abstract
Ultrasonic sensors offers attractive features at an affordable cost. The main problem faced by the use of these devices is that the data obtained are not so easy to interpret, restricting their efficiency. This paper describes a binaural sensor system that is able to determine the coordinates of an object or a target in a two-dimensional space, focusing on mathematical and signal processing techniques to provide accurate measurements and increase the system reliability. The proposed work consists only of low cost components, which aims to demonstrate that improvement is possible. Experimental tests, performed in different scenarios, reported good accuracy and repeatability of the measurements.

Abstract
The vehicle routing problem with backhauls (VRPB) allows to integrate inbound and outbound routes, which is an efficient strategy to reduce routing costs and also to reduce the environmental and social impacts of transportation. In this paper, we analyze the VRPB literature with a sustainability perspective, which covers environmental and social objectives, collaborative networks and reverse logistics. First, to better understand and analyze the VRPB literature, all related works are characterized according to a common taxonomy provided for routing problems. This taxonomy is extended to differentiate between economic, environmental and social objectives. After identification of all VRPB papers that include sustainability issues, these are analyzed and discussed in more detail. The analysis reveals that research on VRPBs with sustainability concerns is recent and relatively scarce and the most popular aspects investigated are the minimization of fuel consumption andCO2 emissions. Future research lines driven by sustainability concerns are suggested for the VRPB as a promoter of green logistics.

Abstract
In this paper, we describe the design of an electrically large anechoic chamber for usage on millimetre-wave bands. Ansys Savant sotware was used to perform a simulation of the chamber, using physical optics coupled with uniform theory of diffraction (PO/UTD). Moreover, a method based on an open waveguide probe is described in this paper to obtain the electrical properties of the RF absorbers at millimetre-wave frequencies. Two different source antennas were simulated in this work and the corresponding quiet zones predicted. The largest quiet zone was 30 mm x 30 mm x 50mm, for a chamber size of 1.2 m x 0.6 m x 0.6 m.
