PRECISIONcork - Medida e Controlo em Linha de Parâmetros Chave de Processo e de Qualidade de Produto

The solution promoted by the PRECISIONcork project allows a radical change in current practices in terms of quality control in the production of cork stoppers. By providing a distributed and modular solution in order to measure and to quantify several characteristic parameters related to the production of cork stoppers, such as moisture measurement, density, diameter, length, among others, and consequently to implement a closed loop control in the production equipment involved, it is possible to explore a preventive and process control approach with a view to a final product with a higher quality. This solution enables the development of “zero-defect” strategies and enhances the implementation of robust traceability mechanisms, enabling to meet legal and market requirements considered to be critical these days.The project developed a modular solution in order to measure and to quantify several characteristic parameters related to the production of cork stoppers, such as moisture measurement, density, diameter, length, among others, and consequently to implement a closed loop control in the production equipment.Project datasheet
