Abstract
Dynamic personalization of media content is the latest challenge for media content producers and distributors. The idea is to adapt in near real time the content of a video stream to the viewer's profile. This concept encompasses any type of context-awareness customisation, expressed preferences and viewer profiling. To achieve this goal we propose a multi tier framework composed of a content production tier, a content distribution tier and a content consumption tier, representing producers, distributors and viewers, plus an artefact brokerage tier, implemented as an agent-based e brokerage platform, to support the dynamic selection of the content to be inserted in the video stream of each viewer. © 2011 IEEE.

Abstract
Hospital performance is a critical issue in society and its assessment must be tactfully studied in order to evaluate future decisions. In this paper we report an operating theatre study based on a simulation model, describing one of the biggest public hospitals in the north of Portugal. The model encompasses several operating rooms shared among different medical services and considers the arrival of both elective and emergency patients. We focus on a critical planning problem of the operating theatre, the allocation of medical services to operating rooms and shifts. With a discrete-event simulation model we assess the performance of the current schedule distribution and perform a set of tests in order to find a better master surgery schedule. Experiments show improvement opportunities by balancing surgical services capacities. © 2011 IEEE.

RoboCup 2011: Robot Soccer World Cup XV [papers from the 15th Annual RoboCup International Symposium, Istanbul, Turkey, July 2011]
Abstract
This paper describes a novel approach in formation control for mobile robots. A Nonlinear Model Predictive Controller (NMPC) is used to control the formation of a heterogeneous mobile robots group. The desired formation is formed by an holonomic robot and a nonholonomic robot. The same nonlinear controller is used in both robots with the same cost function. The details of the controller structure are presented in order to track a fixed target departing from different positions in the field avoiding collisions with each other. A soccer robot competition field is used to present the simulations to evaluate the performance of the controller. © 2012 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.

Abstract
One compact printed monopole antenna with a chip inductor for dual-band WLAN is presented. The proposed antenna has a two-armed structure and an electrically small size. The equivalent circuit structure of the chip inductor is studied and a simplified circuit structure is proposed. This simplified circuit structure was introduced into the electromagnetic (EM) simulation model by assigning a boundary condition, and the experimental results show that with this model, the simulation can provide an accurate prediction of the antenna radiation performance. The measurement results show that the proposed monopole antenna has a VSWR 2: 1 bandwidth over 2.41-2.49 and 5.2-5.6 GHz with omnidirectional radiation patterns. The simulation results suggest that the proposed antenna has a directivity around 1.5 dB at both bands with relatively high radiation efficiency. The antenna is designed and optimized by using Ansoft HFSS.

Abstract
FP7 ICT4Depression project aims at providing a set of tools to,further improve both patient outcome and increase of access to treatment of the patients suffering from major depression. This article describes the Information Systems (IS) architecture used in the project. ICT4Depression uses a service oriented architecture as means of bringing together different kinds of information concerning the patient, the therapeutic modules he is advised to follow and the sensors used to assess his status.
