Abstract
A stochastic programming approach is proposed in this paper for the development of offering strategies for a wind power producer. The optimization model is characterized by making the analysis of several scenarios and treating simultaneously two kinds of uncertainty: wind power and electricity market prices. The approach developed allows evaluating alternative production and offers strategies to submit to the electricity market with the ultimate goal of maximizing profits. An innovative comparative study is provided, where the imbalances are treated differently. Also, an application to two new realistic case studies is presented. Finally, conclusions are duly drawn.

EUROPEAN SIMULATION AND MODELLING CONFERENCE 2012

Abstract
Industrial companies are faced today with strong competition and fast changing markets. To reduce the risk and evaluate alternatives, simulation is considered to be a good tool. Industrial company's simulation must have sufficient detail to be useful but, at the same time, take into account the external environmental behaviour. Distributed simulation has specific characteristics to study these problems but its complexity limits its use in industry as stated in the literature. To overcome these difficulties, a framework is proposed, offering communication and synchronization mechanisms, which allow the integration of simulation models in the industrial area. To promote semantic interoperability, a business language is also proposed based on the OASIS Universal Business Language (UBL). As industrial companies have a high level of complexity and autonomy, the simulation models work as agents using Agent-based Modelling and Simulation (ABMS) techniques to achieve a more realistic behaviour of the whole system.

Abstract
This paper describes technical solutions based on advanced control functionalities for photovoltaic systems aiming to prevent voltage rise above technical limits in low voltage MicroGrids by limiting the injected active power. Due to the action of Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) systems, it is expected that the output power of photovoltaic systems tracks the maximum value according to both solar and temperature conditions. Hence, limiting the active power to be injected into the low voltage network requires the accommodation of the generation surplus. An innovative approach is proposed for this purpose, exploiting a modified MPPT algorithm that finds a proper operation point considering also the grid operating conditions. The technical feasibility of this approach is evaluated through numerical simulations performed in the Matlab (R)/Simulink (R) simulation tool using the detailed models of the power electronic converters.

Abstract
Design and production of small series for specific customer target groups in collaborative networks can help companies to increase their competitiveness. This paper aims to describe a new framework of services for collaborative networking for on-demand productions. After describing the business processes that need to be supported by innovative tools for partner search and collaborative production planning, we describe the developed services and how they are integrated to ease the communication between different activities. © 2012 International Federation for Information Processing.
