Abstract
In this paper we present a method to support the process of multilin-gual ontology specification developed during the conceptualization phase in the context of multilingual collaborative networks. This method was developed to answer the requirements of a collaborative network where the need for localized content appears at an earlier stage, due to the short life-cycle that characterizes both this type of network. We present the main results obtained during the method's implementation in the context of an European project - H-Know: Advanced Infrastructure for Knowledge Based Services for Restoring Buildings, analyse its problems and limitations and discuss the difficulties that arise in a shared conceptualization of an ontology represented in more than one natural language from the point of view of the language influence, taking into account aspects such as the process of interpretation and representation of knowledge of a specific subject field, the needs and difficulties when accessing and processing multilingual information or reusing previously structured semantic re-sources. Finally, we consider and analyse the role and challenges of both termi-nologist and expert when working closely together in the context of collaborative networks.

BEHAVIOUR & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Abstract
Web accessibility is growing in importance. We may also find an increasing need for access to web resources by those with some sort of disability. The Web is very important for spreading information and for promoting interaction between the various elements in society. Given this, it is essential that the Web presents itself as a totally accessible resource, so that it can help citizens with disabilities and their integration in society. This obligation should be even greater for enterprises as primarily the Web is used as a marketing and business platform. With this document, we present indicators regarding the [lack of] accessibility levels of Portuguese enterprise websites. This article contains theoretical and background considerations as well as the results of two different studies that the research team undertook. First of all, the research team made a comparison between the 1000 largest Portuguese enterprises (annual sales volume) and the 1000 best Portuguese small and medium enterprises (sales growth and profit) using a specialised software tool and according to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 1.0; the research team then also considered WCAG 2.0 and its impact on enterprise Web accessibility. In the second study (qualitative in nature), focus group interactions led to a set of recommendations towards greater accessibility.

Photonic Sensors
Abstract
Fiber optic sensors have a set of properties that make them very attractive in biomechanics. However, they remain unknown to many who work in the field. Some possible causes are scarce information, few research groups using them in a routine basis, and even fewer companies offering turnkey and affordable solutions. Nevertheless, as optical fibers revolutionize the way of carrying data in telecommunications, a similar trend is detectable in the world of sensing. The present review aims to describe the most relevant contributions of fiber sensing in biomechanics since their introduction, from 1960s to the present, focusing on intensity-based configurations. An effort has been made to identify key researchers, research and development (R&D) groups and main applications. © The Author(s) 2012.

Abstract
This paper analyses two business scenarios to evaluate the strategic impact of Future Internet and the Unified Management Framework facilitating autonomic networking in existing and future networks. The methodology is supported by three independently developed research frameworks allowing for the evaluation of the main business and strategic challenges that will arise between multiple business actors. The bottlenecks in the specific scenarios are the application service provider, solvable by a rethinking of the cost sharing model, and the location owners, who might not be organized enough to be a factor. © 2012 IEEE.

Abstract
In this paper, we address the problem of semi-supervised hierarchical clustering by using an active clustering solution with cluster-level constraints. This active learning approach is based on a concept of merge confidence in agglomerative clustering. The proposed method was compared with an un-supervised algorithm (average-link) and a semi-supervised algorithm based on pairwise constraints. The results show that our algorithm tends to be better than the pairwise constrained algorithm and can achieve a significant improvement when compared to the unsupervised algorithm. © 2012 Authors.
