INNOVATIVE APPROACHES TO TOURISM AND LEISURE
Abstract
Tourist behavior has always been a central issue in the tourism discourse. Research in this area has long focused on destination choices, especially those destinations which still attract visitors despite of their security circumstances. Most of the tourists who choose traveling to a less safe destination are looking for new adventures, thus unique holidays. However, with that need of experiencing new sensations, and having a non-standard experiences, tourists cannot deny the fact of being attentive and taking precautions while traveling to an unsafe destination. The purpose of this research relies on defining what kind of precautions the tourists take while traveling to a destination which can threaten their safety, and in which way those precautions contribute to increase the tourist satisfaction.

Abstract
The Robot Operating System (ROS) is an open source framework for the development of robotic software, in which a typical system consists of multiple processes communicating under a publisher-subscriber architecture. A great deal of development time goes into orchestration and making sure that the communication interfaces comply with the expected contracts (e.g. receiving a message leads to the publication of another message). Orchestration mistakes are only detected during runtime, stressing the importance of component and integration testing in the verification process. Property-based Testing is fitting in this context, since it is based on the specification of contracts and treats tested components as black boxes, but there is no support for it in ROS. In this paper, we present a first approach towards automatic generation of test scripts for property-based testing of various configurations of a ROS system.

Abstract
The university-enterprise (U-E) relationship is a topic that has gathered much interest in the academic world. Universities seek to offer services and technology that help firms to build and foster a harmonious U-E relationship, allowing firms to continually renew their involvement in the relationship. This chapter seeks to analyze the role played by various factors-satisfaction, commitment as perceived by firms, perceived commitment by universities, trust, and reputation-in encouraging firms to continuously renew their involvement in the university relationship. A questionnaire was produced drawing on a literature review looking at U-E relationships, the results of which were then analyzed using partial least squares - structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). Afyer analyzing 80 responses from firms involved in U-E relationships, it was possible to conclude that commitment of firms, reputation, and the perceived commitment of the universities are very important in the continuous participation of firms in U-E relationships. © 2018, IGI Global.

Abstract
Online distance learning introduces several challenges, such as the dependence of online tools, the asynchronous communication between teachers and students, and the lack of synchronous social engagement level that inclassroom teaching can leverage. The existence of an online tutor 24 hours/day would be an interesting asset to potentially work as an additional learning support tool. The Virtual Tutoring project aims at the development of solutions involving anthropomorphic 3D avatars that work as both virtual online tutors in the Moodle e-learning platform as well as coaches in a mobile application that interact empathically with the students by predicting their emotional state and selecting appropriate emotion regulation strategies. This paper presents the current status of the project, preliminary evaluations with students, and future developments.

Abstract
Purpose The purpose of this study is to determine whether new rural ventures represent effective rural entrepreneurship or are just entrepreneurial ventures located in rural settings. Design\methodology\approach Data were collected from a direct questionnaire involving 408 new ventures headquartered in Portuguese business incubators and science parks, of which 142 are located in rural areas. To analyse data, the authors performed a preliminary and exploratory statistical analysis. Findings The authors demonstrate that only a small percentage of ventures operating in rural areas constitute examples of effective rural entrepreneurship, with the bulk of them being just enterprises located in rural settings. Rural new ventures tend to be small (in terms of employees and turnover), rely mainly on the internal market and lag behind other new ventures (located in both rural and urban municipalities) in terms of performance. Research limitations/implications The study only includes new knowledge-intensive ventures, that is, those headquartered in business incubators and science parks. Therefore, it cannot be generalised to other new ventures located in rural settings. Originality/value The extant literature on entrepreneurship has neglected the empirical implications of mixing, confounding and/or merging the concepts of rural entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship activities in rural areas. In this study, the authors discuss and analyse the empirical boundaries of such concepts and uncover the magnitude of pure rural entrepreneurship.

Abstract
Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of female death worldwide. The histological analysis of breast tissue allows for the differentiation of the tissue suspected to be abnormal into four classes: normal tissue, benign tumor, in situ carcinoma and invasive carcinoma. Automatic diagnostic systems can help in that task. In this sense, this work propose a deep neural network approach using transfer learning to classify breast cancer histology images. First, the added top layers are trained and a second fine-tunning is done on some feature extraction layers that are frozen previously. The used network is an Inception Resnet V2. In order to overcome the lack of data, data augmentation is performed too. This work is a suggested solution for the ICIAR 2018 BACH-Challenge and the accuracy is 0.76 in the blind test set.
