Work description
The work plan includes research, implementation, and validation of perception and navigation algorithms for agricultural robots in orchards, focusing on supporting weeding and pruning operations, including sensory data processing, navigation between tree rows, integration into robotic systems, and experimental testing within the AGROBOOST project.
Academic Qualifications
Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related field, with active enrollment in a doctoral program.
Minimum profile required
Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related fields;Active enrollment in a doctoral program;Knowledge of programming in Python and/or C++ in ROS2;Knowledge of mobile robotics, computational perception, autonomous navigation, or intelligent systems.
Preference factors
Experience in ROS/ROS 2; Experience in robotic perception, computer vision, or artificial intelligence; Experience with sensors such as cameras, LiDAR, GNSS, IMU, or depth sensors; Experience in autonomous navigation, SLAM, trajectory planning, or sensor fusion; Experience in agricultural robotics or precision agriculture; Experience in experimental testing with robotic systems.
