Work description

The work and training plan focuses essentially on: research and development of solutions for the robotic handling of textiles and garments, including the analysis and integration of different gripping solutions for flexible materials and rigid accessories; the development of computer vision and AI algorithms for the detection, classification, and location of garments, visible accessories, and material reuse zones; support for the development of continuous learning mechanisms for the progressive improvement of accessory detection and adaptation to new types of textiles; support for the integration of robotics, perception, AI, and Human-Machine Interface modules into the MINDST@R prototype; and the planning, execution, and documentation of laboratory tests and validation in an industrial context, including performance analysis, robustness, usability, and material utilization.

Academic Qualifications

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields.

Minimum profile required

Proven experience in developing computer vision and AI solutions for Automation and/or Robotics applications. Experience with the ROS framework and the TensorFlow and PyTorch libraries. Experience in the following programming languages: C++ and Python.

Preference factors

Development of robotics solutions involving the manipulation of flexible objects, such as textile items. Experience in writing scientific articles and participating in R&D projects.
