Work description

- Conduct a survey of the computational and hardware requirements to be integrated into the UAV under development. - Development of Deep Learning algorithms for processing information from visible spectrum cameras, thermographic cameras, and LiDAR systems. - Exploration of 3D position estimation techniques based on information from deep learning algorithms. - Implementation of the algorithms in the ROS framework. - Exercise critical thinking in evaluating the research process and the results obtained.

Academic Qualifications

Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, bioengineering, or related field.

Minimum profile required

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. Over 2 years of proven experience in the development of robotic platforms in terms of hardware and software. Previous participation in national and European robotics projects.

Preference factors

- Over 3 years of experience in the development, conceptualization, and design of autonomous aerial vehicles; - Robot operative system ROS/ROS2, PX4, LiDAR, Stereo and Monocular vision, Perception, AI, ML, Path Planning Control, Sensor Fusion Algorithms; - Previous experience in Deep Learning with LiDAR and vision systems; - Previous experience in the acquisition and processing of LiDAR and visible spectrum and thermographic cameras; - Previous experience in AutoPilots for UAVs;
