Work description
Currently, there is growing interest in the use of mobile robots to perform various tasks in manufacturing environments. With the diversity of functions being performed in the industrial context, robot fleets are expected to grow significantly. Given this scenario, this work aims to investigate and develop a fleet management architecture capable of accommodating the growth in the number of robots, ensuring scalability and efficiency. The main objective is to propose a non-fully centralized solution that can be expanded without relying on the exponential increase in computing capacity required to coordinate and optimize the system in real time. At the same time, the architecture must preserve the efficiency characteristic of path planning and optimization achieved by centralized approaches.
