Industrial Robotics and Computer Vision Systems

Work description

1. Literature review regarding inspection and quality control methods that are scalable over time and robust to different and new defects; 2. Identification and selection of sensors and their respective lighting to be adopted. 3. Study and development of algorithms for detecting inconsistencies. 4. Study and implementation of operator interfaces. 5. Assembly and testing in a laboratory environment and support for installation at the company. 6. Writing an activity report.

Academic Qualifications

Master's degree in electrical and computer engineering and related fields.

Minimum profile required

• Knowledge of the ROS framework.• Proven prior experience in developing inspection and quality control systems for industry, based on computer vision and AI systems.• Experience in programming industrial robots.• Knowledge of the C++ and Python programming languages.• Experience with the scikit-learn, Yolo, and torchvision libraries/methods.

Preference factors

Experience in developing synthetic datasets using simulation environments. Familiarity with the theory and implementation of diffusion models and GANNs applied to the same context.
