INESC Porto promotes Portuguese companies in Germany

The institution located in the city of Porto is encouraging the active participation of the Portuguese entrepreneurial environment so that it is possible for companies to enter international markets and find suitable business partnerships.

At this year’s edition of CeBit, Portugal will be represented by 40 companies. Over the past years, more than one hundred Portuguese companies have used CeBit as an opportunity to start their internationalisation process. With INESC Porto’s support, these companies have managed to establish several business partnerships, agreements in the area of Research and Development as well as in the Manufacturing area. Thus, it was possible for them to broaden their contact network in Europe.

Encouraging business partnerships

CeBit is the largest technology fair in the world in the areas of Information Technology and Electronic Communication. In fact, almost seven thousand companies and 400 thousand people will participate in this event.

During the event, INESC Porto will promote meetings (such as IRC Future Match) with potential international business partners. At the previous edition of CeBit, the institution represented and supported more than 35 companies, promoting more than two hundred meetings with international companies.

The Portuguese companies Quidgest and Versus are some of the most successful examples. Quidgest managed to establish business partnerships in Lithuania and broaden its contact network in Spain. Versus, on the other hand, has established a partnership to develop a software product that will soon start being sold in Portugal and in Portuguese-speaking countries.
