Abstract
Transversal and transferable skills are the single most important skill gap identified by employers of engineering graduates. This gap can be a very effective chasm in the early careers of otherwise competent graduates. In this paper we address the end-toend implementation of a transversal and transferable skills training programme in an European public engineering school. The training addresses master and doctoral candidates. The needs assessment, the programme design, delivery and assessment are presented. Relevant stakeholders are involved throughout. They include employers, master and doctoral candidates, faculty, graduate course directors and teaching staff directly involved in the programme. The programme includes methodologies of self-evaluation and course evolution. It is found that the programme is perceived as very important by the trainees and that there is an increasing number of enrolled trainees. The challenges of a sustained delivery of such a growing programme are shortly addressed.

Abstract
Aiming to improve sustainability and life quality, urban space research is prompting an intensive use of communication and information technologies. With it, researchers are also facing more challenges regarding research data management and therefore seeking clear guidelines and tools for proper data organization, sharing and reuse. In the context of a smart cities research project, UrbanSense, held in the city of Porto, we proposed a data management plan, to support researchers from the moment they start to collect data up to the point of data publication. We also developed an ontology for the description of smart cities data, validated by UrbanSense researchers. Descriptions based on this ontology were evaluated by external parties, after the data was published in an institutional data repository.

Abstract
UML Sequence Diagrams are used in different domains for specifying the required behaviour of software-based systems. However, the created diagrams are often used only as documentation, and not as a basis for generating subsequent lifecycle artifacts or for automated analysis. Several authors have proposed the transformation of Sequence Diagrams to executable Coloured Petri Nets (CPN), for simulation and testing purposes, but the transformations are not automated or are implemented in an ad-hoc way. To overcome those limitations, we present in this paper an approach to automatically translate Sequence Diagrams to CPN ready for execution with CPN Tools, taking advantage of model-to-model transformation techniques provided by the Eclipse Modelling Framework (EMF). The transformation rules are implemented in the Epsilon Transformation Language. We use the standard UML metamodel provided by EMF and the CPN metamodel provided by CPN Tools, so any Sequence Diagram created with an EMF compliant modelling tool can be transformed. An application example is presented to better illustrate the approach.

Abstract
Business Process Testing is the act of validating that end-to-end transactions through enterprise systems continue to work correctly as the underlying packaged applications evolve. End-to-end automatic business process validation can be a challenging task, but an important way to check that business rules continue to work properly and that problems are detected and corrected as soon as possible. This paper presents the design of a test automation platform, ETAP-Pro, to test end-to-end business processes that aims to overcome some challenges in validating business processes.
