Work description
- Characterization and categorization of the urban environment, with a view to identifying parcel delivery strategies best suited to the specific characteristics of the territory; - Development of a simulation module for parcel delivery operations, integrating traditional simulation techniques with Machine Learning models; - Development of algorithms for the integration of Machine Learning and Generative Artificial Intelligence models, prioritizing solutions with a reduced computational footprint; - Development of the system interfaces, execution of usability testing, and preparation of the technical documentation for the developed solution; - Writing and submission of scientific papers; - Presentation and dissemination of scientific results at scientific conferences; - Preparation of the final report on the activities carried out.
Academic Qualifications
Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Industrial Management Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum profile required
- Bachelor's and Master's degree average grade higher than 12 (on a 20-point scale);- At least one paper submitted for presentation at a conference or for publication in a scientific journal.
Preference factors
- Experience in the use of transport simulation models; - Experience in the development and/or application of Machine Learning (ML) approaches with a low computational footprint; - Enrolled in, or currently attending, a doctoral programme.
