Work description

- survey and analyze the state of the art in emerging wireless networks, including simulation aspects using real data assimilation, Machine Learning, and digital twin approaches; - collaborate in the preparation of technical reports on the algorithms, mechanisms, models, or protocols developed; - develop new modules to enable the simulation and/or experimentation of emerging wireless networks; - contribute to co-authored scientific publications within the scope of the work developed; - prepare the research grant activity report.

Academic Qualifications

M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or similar.

Minimum profile required

- solid knowledge of IEEE 802.11;- solid knowledge of the TCP/IP stack and Linux;- solid experience in discrete-event simulation, especially using ns-3;- proven research experience in wireless networks;- proven experience in using Machine Learning techniques and programming with C++ and/or Python.

Preference factors

- solid knowledge in 5G: - experience of participation in European research projects such as Horizon Europe.
