Work description
- Develop scientific activity in the area of Wireless Networks, aligned with the scenarios of emerging wireless networks focused on maritime scenarios, including underwater and surface communications taking advantage of the generative semantic communications paradigm. - Support the coordination and execution of R&D projects in the context of the INESCTEC.OCEAN, and also support of the technical tasks associated with these projects. - Develop scientific activity towards the scientific production for international journals and conferences, guidance of junior researchers, as well as coordination and participation in scientific and technological dissemination initiatives. - Coordinate and participate in the elaboration of applications to R&D projects with competitive funding, in particular in the European scope, and support in the valorisation of the knowledge, including intellectual property rights.
Academic Qualifications
PhD degree in PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering
Minimum profile required
PhD holder with research experience compatible with the R&D Researcher category. Minimum of three publications in international journals with Q1 or Q2 in Scopus, with at least two Q1 journal publications. Minimum of six publications in indexed international conference proceedings. Previous experience in the implementation of national and international research and development projects in the area of wireless communications.
Preference factors
Previous experience in HF communications, computer vision, and image analysis.
