Work description

- Integrate the sensor payload into an autonomous aerial vehicle; - Develop software to enable data acquisition and the implementation of Deep Learning techniques for spill detection; - Implement navigation algorithms within the ROS framework; - Critically evaluate the research process and the results obtained; - Disseminate results and publish scientific papers based on the work performed.

Academic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and coursework towards a master's degree.

Minimum profile required

• Hold a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.• Have research experience with scientific publications.• Show an aptitude for experimental/laboratory work.• Be open to new challenges in the field of research.• Be fluent in spoken and written English.• Show an aptitude for writing scientific articles.

Preference factors

Prior experience in software development using the ROS 1 and 2 frameworks, experience in the development of autonomous aerial vehicles and autopilots (PX4), and in developing perception and navigation algorithms in ROS.
