Power Systems

Work description

State-of-the-art analysis of hybrid AC/DC microgrid architectures applicable to ships. This work also involves characterizing the ship's electrical loads and identifying requirements, as well as analyzing the most suitable microgrid topologies for the ship's electrical system. Identification of the most suitable voltage and frequency control strategies, based on state-of-the-art research, and development of dispatch algorithms for the isolated microgrid, considering the coordinated control of generation, energy storage, and load. Validation considering use cases of real ships in a laboratory environment Publication of results in leading conferences and journals in the field;
