Work description
1. Design of unit cell of reference suitable for the phase control based on the use of a PIN diode, in the frequency range of <10 GHz, and subsequent validation in 3D electromagnetic simulation. 2. Design of unit cell in a flexible substrate suitable for the phase control based on the use of alternative electronic elements to the PIN diode, in the frequency range of <10 GHz, and subsequent validation in 3D electromagnetic simulation. 3. Development of unit cell prototypes, fabrication and experimental validation, allowing the comparison with the reference unit cell. 4. Scaling of the design to array configuration. 5. Prepare the submission of a scientific paper. 6. Write the grant activities report.
Academic Qualifications
Graduation in Electrical Engineering, or similar.
Minimum profile required
- Experience with 3D electromagnetic simulation tools;- Experience with the conduction of experimental antenna measurements.
Preference factors
- Experience in the design of antenna arrays; experience of microwave design using flexible substrates.
