Work description
Study and identify potential synergies between different multi-energy systems in buildings for unlocking potential flexibility to assist in the multi-networks operation and management in cities; Support the modelling of energy patterns and respective uncertainties in buildings operation and management, considering its participation in multi-energy networks; Modelling of multi-energy networks in cities, accounting for the impact of buildings energy flexibility; Use of distributed optimization techniques and/or artificial intelligence techniques for solving the aforementioned problems; Write the scholarship activity report and a scientific paper.
Academic Qualifications
Background in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, Informatics, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar
Minimum profile required
Expertise in a programming language;Basic knowledge of modelling energy-related problems;Basic knowledge of optimization
Preference factors
Experience in Python; Experience in optimization under uncertainty; Experience in multi-energy systems modelling; Fluency in English (spoken and written).
