Work description
- Literature review focused on signal propagation models and localization algorithms suitable for 5G networks. - Development of 5G radio signal propagation model supporting geometric instantiation of nodes (base-station, user equipment). - Development of model (link-level) of a reconfigurable intelligent surface with flexible geometric instantiation (e.g in walls, ceilings, floors). - Implementation of a localization algorithm based on optimization techniques and taking advantage of the previously developed models. - Implementation of test routines for the statistical evaluation of the localization error within a target zone of interest. - Writing of the grant activities report.
Academic Qualifications
Enrolment in MSc in Electrical Engineering, or similar.
Minimum profile required
- Experience with the development of algorithms in Matlab environement.
Preference factors
Experience with localization technologies based on radio-frequency signals; Experience with localization algorithms based on radio-frequency signals.
