Work description
- Define and implement a data processing pipeline; - Analyse application performance bottlenecks; - Implement a prototype that improves performance at the storage layer. The tasks described in this working plan demand the application and development of concepts and techniques in the area of Software Engineering, which are usually introduced in curricular units included in the curricula of the Mestrados Integrados em Engenharia Biomédica ou Informática or Mestrado em Engenharia Biomédica ou Informática studies.
Academic Qualifications
- BSc Degree in Biomedical Engineering or BSc Degree in Informatics Engineering.
Minimum profile required
- Knowledge of operating systems.- Proven experience in data manipulation and processing (i.e., Pandas, SKLearn, Apache Spark), with technical evidence (code repositories, projects, functional prototypes, articles, or theses).- Experience with virtualisation and containerisation environments (i.e., Vagrant, Docker)- Fluent in written and spoken Portuguese and English.
Preference factors
- Experience with provisioning and configuration tools (e.g., Ansible). - Proven experience with the LD_Preload library, demonstrated with technical evidence (code repositories, projects, working prototypes, articles, or theses). - Knowledge of large-scale data analysis tools.
