Work description

Within the European BigAlgae project, INESC TEC is responsible for developing technologies aimed at increasing the sustainability and productivity of algae cultivation and processing, while also enabling innovative industrial applications. This position seeks to address the challenges of smart aquaculture through the development of low-cost, real-time sensing solutions capable of continuously monitoring key parameters in situ.

Academic Qualifications

Master’s degree in physics engineering

Minimum profile required

- Master's degree in Physics Eng.- Knowledge of optoelectronic systems.- Experience in microcontroller programming and in developing software for analysis and control.- Knowledge of protocols for communication between devices.

Preference factors

- Proven experience in experimental work with optical systems. - Experience in developing prototypes, including electronic systems. - Proven experience in the development of sensors for aquaculture. - Advanced knowledge in 3D design and prototyping through 3D printing.
