Development of fibre optic sensors systems for methane gas concentration and multiparameter analysis and implementation in industrial environment under the PRR project ATE.

Work description

This scholarship will be carried out within the scope of a project included in the Alliance for Energy Transition and which aims at the development and implementation of optical sensors in an industrial context for the detection and monitoring of gases in the energy sector. The scholarship holder is expected to develop methodologies for monitoring methane concentration and other physical parameters, using a fiber optic architecture and to carry out experimental validation through fabrication and subsequent optical characterization.

Academic Qualifications

Degree in Physics Engineering

Minimum profile required

Knowledge in the field of optics.Skills in electronics and programming for developing software for simulation and control of devices and analysis of results.

Preference factors

Experience in fiber optic systems, WMS spectroscopy, Python, LabVIEW, use of lasers, SFP, NI and Digilent cards. Proficiency in the HITRAN database, in simulation with multivariate data, solving inverse problems.
