Computer Engineering, with a focus on computer vision applied to digestive endoscopy

Work description

The GATE project (GenerAlizable and Trustable computer assisted upper gastrointestinal Endoscopy) is a partnership between INESC TEC and IPO Porto and aims to research, develop and implement computer vision algorithms in a hospital environment to support the management of gastric cancer. Specifically, we aim to study the relevance of visual descriptors, as well as their distribution in space, as potential biomarkers for the characterization of gastric intestinal metaplasia.

Minimum profile required

BSc Degree.Enrollment in a MSc course in Data Science.

Preference factors

Previous experience in radiomics algorithms applied to gastric endoscopy images
