Work description
- conduct a literature review on the ecology and life cycle of the Portuguese man’o war, the potential of citizen science initiatives, the impact of abundance outbreaks, and current methods for predicting them; - integrate data from the GelAvista initiative and relevant environmental variables; - conduct an exploratory and geostatistical analysis of the compiled data; - develop models for forecasting the occurrence of Portuguese man-of-war based on the compiled data, evaluate their performance, and propose improvements - participate in the writing of scientific articles and write the grant activity report.

Mestre em Biologia Marinha ou afins, com valorização em Informática ou afins,
Minimum profile required
- média de licenciatura e mestrado superior a 14;- 1 artigo submetido em conferência ou revista com revisão por pares.
Preference factors
- experiência em ecologia de espécies marinhas, conhecimentos de modelação e estatística.
