INESC TEC participates in Business2Sea
The 9th edition of the Business2Sea will take place between 11 and 13 November at the Alfândega Porto Congress Centre and promises a set of conferences, seminars, thematic workshops, pitching sessions entitled “Curtas do Mar” (in English: Short Sessions of the Sea) and other activities related to the maritime culture.
INESC TEC will participate in Business2Sea with a comprehensive and innovative presence that will take several aspects.
The TEC4SEA infrastructure, a platform for research, development, testing and validation of technologies, aiming at boosting the sea economy, will be highlighted in the event's exhibition space, presenting the services that it provides to partners and clients.
At INESC TEC’s stand, there will also be an exhibition of technologies with an application in the Sea sector, such as the unmanned aerial vehicle STORK I, a drone for the control and protection of marine environments; the autonomous underwater vehicle SHAD, a torpedo-shaped micro AUV designed to navigate in complex volumes; and the UNEXMIN robot, an autonomous platform for researching and mapping flooded underground mines.
It is also worth mentioning the Bluecom+/Grow, the long-range communications solution, which expands the broadband internet that exists onshore to remote areas of the ocean; and the nutrient sensor NPK, which ensures the monitoring and control of the nutrients from water and plant products.
It is also important to highlight the mobile application to observe the evolution of WAVY drifters, developed by the MELOA consortium. Visitors will be invited to launch the drifters to the Douro River and to monitor their evolution through the App.
INESC TEC also supports the organisation of workshop 1 “Ocean Observation and Marine Technologies”, which will feature the presentation of the TEC4SEA infrastructure, and will also be represented in workshop 3 “Financing the Blue Economy” with the ProtoAtlantic Project.
On the other hand, INESC TEC, as a partner of the Enterprise Europe Network will stimulate the participation in the “B2B meetings”, a space for pre-scheduled bilateral meetings between participants with an online catalogue of partnership and business opportunities.
