Description

Knowledge Discovery from Ubiquitous Data Streams

Two major technological evolutions have modified our relationship with the environment: 1) widely available and affordable computer power and 2) an explosion of networks of all kinds. The goal of this project was to develop Data Mining techniques to extract useful knowledge from this new data which reflects a World in Movement: -the objects of analysis exist in time and space, and can often move and evolve incrementally over time. -the objects have information processing capabilities, but can never see the global picture - only their local spatio-temporal environment.
