About
I am currently the Head of the Research Students Office at INESC TEC, with over 25 years of experience in strategic planning, decision-making in complex environments, business development, strategic human resource management, and financial control.
I began my career in the industry, where I spent 10 years before transitioning to academia. I managed a research department at the University of Cambridge for four years and have remained closely connected to academia ever since. Among other roles, I served as the Executive Director of the Carnegie Mellon Portugal Program, leading its strategic implementation and executive management, ensuring alignment with the objectives and goals of the Portuguese government, participating universities, and partner organizations.
At INESC TEC, I developed and implemented a new human resources management model, transforming the way the institution thinks and approaches HR strategy, policies, and practices.
I hold a degree in Business Administration from School of Economics and Management - University of Porto, a postgraduate qualification in Auditing and Management Control (2004), and the Executive Course for HR Directors (2020), both from Católica Business School in Porto and Lisbon, respectively.
