I am currently conducting an assessment of INESC TEC's Human Resources management model, in collaboration with the Board of Directors. Until march 2019, I was Executive Director of the UT Austin Portugal Program, a platform for education, research and innovation that brings together Portuguese universities, research institutions and companies, and the University of Texas at Austin. The partnership is funded by Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia. Previously, I was Executive Director of the Carnegie Mellon Portugal Program from 2012 to 2017. Before joining these international partnerships, I was with the University of Cambridge, UK. For four years (2007-2011) I was Business Manager of the Centre for Applied Research in Educational Technologies, an innovation unit focused on learning and research technologies. Before embarking in Higher Education Administration roles, I was working with industry, mainly in strategic planning and management control, in a Portuguese bath fittings manufacturer (1997-2007).
I received my degree in Business Administration, from the School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto, and an Executive Master in Audit and Management Control, from Católica Porto Business School.
