João is a Master’s student in Computer Science at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP) and a grantee of the AI-RBD Project at INESC TEC. His research explores the intersection of artificial intelligence and medical imaging, focusing on developing automated methods for analyzing video-polysomnography (vPSG) to assist in the early detection of REM Sleep Behavior Disorder (RBD). By using computer vision, his work aims to enhance diagnostic accuracy and efficiency in clinical sleep medicine.
