Joana is an administrative assistant at INESC TEC, where she supports HumanISE - the Human-Centered Computing and Information Science center.

Alongside her administrative responsibilities, Joana is also a freelance translator. She specializes in translating Russian, English, and French into Portuguese. With fourteen years of experience in translation and more than seven years in administrative support, Joana has developed a solid foundation that enhances her contributions in both arenas.

Joana holds a MA in Cultural Studies of the XX century (Russian State University for the Humanities, 2016), a MA in Specialized Translation and Interpreting (ISCAP – Porto Accounting and Business School, 2011), and a degree in Administrative Assistance and Translation (ISCAP – Porto Accounting and Business School, 2006).

In 2014, she was awarded a scholarship to pursue a Master's in Cultural Studies, completing the program with honors. Her bold decision to move to the Russian Federation for seven years, to study and reside, became a remarkable odyssey, filled with invaluable cultural, professional, and personal insights.

Highly motivated, dedicated, and driven, Joana is a firm believer in the power of self-improvement and lifelong learning.
