About
Carolina is a Policy Analyst at INESC TEC´s (GPP) Public Policy Office. GPP bespoke policy engagement strategies with real impact to promote sustainable applications for policy, society, and science co-production. Carolina is developing a PhD in Engineering and Industrial Management at the University of Porto and holds a master’s degree in Sustainable Development from the University of Brasilia. Carolina is also a specialist in Environmental Management and has a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. She has been a researcher in different fields, including innovation and sustainability, space policy, public policy, and environmental sciences. She has been a member of the research group Climate Network (Rede Clima) of Brazil´s Science, Technology, and Innovation Ministry – MCTI, a Member of the Brazilian Space Program Development Committee - CDPEB, and has worked as a Project Management in several institutions. Before INESC TEC, she worked for five years at the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB). Recently she was chief of the Division of Innovation and Industry in the Board of Satellites, Applications and Development in AEB. Previously, she was chief of the Strategic Investments division on the Space Policy and Strategic Investments board. Her passion as a sustainability and technology policy researcher is to promote sustainable solutions for society. Beyond work, Carolina is also passionate about being in nature. She loves travelling, reading, playing beach tennis and yoga.
