Work description

Develop scientific activity in the area of Wireless Networks, aligned with the scenarios of emerging wireless networks, including mobile base-stations based on open-source software and SDR hardware and vision-wireless communications convergence. Support the coordination and execution of R&D projects, including the CONVERGE, OVERWATCH, SUPERIOT, NEXUS, PRODUTECH R3 and PLURIANUAL-LA projects, and also support of the technical tasks associated with these projects. Develop scientific activity towards the scientific production for international journals and conferences, guidance of junior researchers, as well as coordination and participation in scientific and technological dissemination initiatives. Support the preparation of applications to R&D projects and the valorisation of the knowledge, including intellectual property rights.

Academic Qualifications

MSc degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related scientific area

Minimum profile required

Research experience compatible with the research assistant category . Minimum of two publications in international journals with Q1 or Q2 in Scopus, being at least one of them with Q1. Minimum of five publications in the proceedings of international conferences. Previous experience in the implementation of international research projects in the area of wireless networks.

Preference factors

Previous experience in the guidance of research interns (e.g. BSc and MSc Students), as participation in scientific and technological dissemination initiatives.
