Underwater Robotics

Work description

1. Study the following topics: a. ASV and AUV motion models (kinematics and dynamics) b. Models for acoustic modems (propagation delays, communication schemes, acoustic range) c. Underwater location principles 2. Develop software drivers for integrating components into embedded systems (AUV and ASV) 3. Develop a simulation environment for cooperative AUV and ASV operations, including communication restrictions 4. Simulate cooperative missions with communication features 5. Integrate communication capabilities into autonomous vehicles (AUV and ASV) 6. Plan and participate in field tests to validate cooperative maneuvers, including partial tests and tank experiments 7. Report and publicize the work developed (ideally with a publication)
