Work description
1. Study of the following topics: a. Acoustic-based underwater positioning systems b. Acoustic propagation models (propagation delays, acoustic range, "multipath", etc.) c. Error sources and correction 2. Synchronization of remote monitoring systems 3. Implementation of signal detection algorithms and triangulation 4. Planning and participating in field tests to evaluate system performance 5. Reporting and disseminating the work developed (ideally with a Paper)
Academic Qualifications
Undergraduate studies in Naval Architechture and Ocean Engineering.
Minimum profile required
Knowledges of Python and C++.
Preference factors
Previous experience with underwater acoustic propagation.
