Work description
Design and execution of systems for the emission, detection and processing of acoustic signals for propagation in the underwater environment. Use of new materials for the manufacture of acoustic transducers adapted to the underwater environment. Adaptation of acoustic emission and reception systems for the location of underwater sources, navigation systems for autonomous vehicles, characterization of the underwater acoustic landscape, among others. Contribution to the submission of proposals for R&D projects in national and international partnerships, and their management. Proposal and management of knowledge enhancement projects, team management and supervision of researchers. Active participation in scientific production oriented to international journals and conferences, intervention in the scientific and professional communities, as well as coordination and participation in scientific and technological dissemination initiatives, particularly in the area of marine robotics.
Academic Qualifications
PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar scientific area, with a scientific and professional curriculum that reveals an adequate profile for the activity to be developed.
Minimum profile required
-Experience as Principal Investigator in a minimum of 2 R&D projects based on competitive funding.-At least 5 Papers published in the last 5 years, in indexed international scientific journals.
Preference factors
- Experience in the supervision or co-supervision of PhD or Master's students - Teaching experience in higher education institutions. - Experience in coordinating or participating in consulting projects. - Experience in patent applications
