Telecommunications

Work description

- study and analyze the state-of-the-art in emerging wireless networks, namely systems capable of operating simultaneously or in a complementary and fault-tolerant manner across multiple domains – underwater, surface, aerial, and space; - develop algorithms for the aggregation and management of multimodal wireless networks specialized for operation in maritime scenarios; - collaborate in the writing of technical reports regarding the protocols, mechanisms, and algorithms developed;

Academic Qualifications

Student in Electrical Engineering, Informatics, or similar

Minimum profile required

- solid knowledge of the TCP/IP stack and Linux;- programming experience using C++ and Python;- proven research experience in the area of underwater networks, particularly in maritime scenarios

Preference factors

- solid knowledge of computer networks, namely the various protocol layers of the OSI model; - knowledge of IEEE 802.11 networks and underwater acoustic links; - knowledge of REST APIs and delay-tolerant networks.
