Work description
Design, implementation and optimization of a data balancing and/or replication mechanism that leverages multiple storage devices. The system prototype must be implemented through the SPDK platform and experimentally evaluated with realistic workloads. The tasks described in this working plan demand the application and development of concepts and techniques in the area of Software Engineering which are usually introduced in curricular units included in the curricula of the Mestrados Integrados em Engenharia Informática or Mestrado em Engenharia Informática studies.
Academic Qualifications
BSc Degree in Informatics Engineering Sciences
Minimum profile required
- Knowledge on storage systems;- Knowledge on operating systems;- Experience with the SPDK platform.
Preference factors
- Experience on the implementation of virtual block devices in SPDK.
