Work description
The work, to be carried out during the scholarship, includes the design of a new hybrid deduplication system that allows optimizing the storage space currently used to persist large datasets. It should also provide good performance for data persistence and access operations. In addition to the system’s design, the implementation of a prototype using the SPDK platform is expected, which must then be experimentally validated. The tasks described in this work plan demand the application and development of concepts and techniques in the area of Software Engineering which are usually introduced in curricular units included in the curricula of the Mestrados Integrados em Engenharia Informática ou de Mestrado em Engenharia Informática studies.
Academic Qualifications
BSc Degree in Informatics Engineering Sciences.
Minimum profile required
- Knowledge on deduplications systems;- Knowledge on operating systems;- Experience with the SPDK platform.
Preference factors
Knowledge on hibrid deduplications systems.
