Work description

1. Survey of materials needed for the application of a towing arm adapted for mobile robots; 2. Design of the arm's attachment to the Flowbotic GoTugger mobile platform structure; 3. Assembly of the arm according to mechanical and electrical schematic drawings; 4. Integration of the towing solution arm into the mobile platform; 5. Functional testing of the towing system integrated with the INESC TEC industrial mobile robotics navigation stack; 6. Demonstration of the towing system with the Flowbotic GoTugger mobile platform in laboratory and industrial environments.

Academic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.

Minimum profile required

Enrollment in a Master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field.

Preference factors

Knowledge of mechanical engineering design. Knowledge of SOLIDWORKS or Autodesk Fusion 360. Knowledge of mobile robotics and autonomous industrial platforms.
