Power electronics for hybrid (AC/DC) energy systems Area

[Closed]

Work description

The research plan involves the development of R&D activity in power electronics, aiming to contribute to the design and prototyping of power converters for hybrid (A/DC) microgrids. The power electronic interfaces to be developed will need to consider the requirements for high efficiency and low harmonic distortion and electromagnetic compatibility, considering the application of microgrids to industrial, telecommunication and astronomy systems. Moreover, the researcher should participate in activities of scientific supervision of researchers and development of new R&D projects. Intervention in the scientific and professional communities, as well as coordination and participation in scientific and technological dissemination initiatives.

Academic Qualifications

National, foreigner and stateless candidates holding a PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electronics and Industrial, Automation and Control Engineering

Minimum profile required

Doctorates with post-doctoral experience compatible with the category of junior researcher, with no requirement to demonstrate scientific independence. A minimum of 1 publication in Q1 international journals.

Preference factors

Proven experience in the design of power electronic converter interfaces for renewable energy sources and battery storage. Participation in collaborative R&D projects. Proven experience in the design of power electronic converter interfaces. Science and technology management, including proposal and contract negotiation.
