Work description
The work is based on three lines of investigation related to planning problems of the food supply chains: - Empirical analysis of the influence of products remaining shelf life in consumers choices at the moment of purchase. - Analysis of the impact that the consumer preferences have on discount planning problems of retailers, using optimization and simulation models. - Analysis of the impact of collaborative strategies between retailers and producers, by developing bilevel optimization models.
Academic Qualifications
PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management or Operations Research.
Minimum profile required
Experience and knowledge of Operations Research, namely in the development of linear programming models, matheuristics and robust optimization; Good scientific level, with at least two publications in the domain in question or in related domains, in Q1 scientific journals; Previous participation in at least two scientific projects related to this work area.
Preference factors
Knowledge and experience in programming, namely python language.
