Work description
The main focus will be the development of simulation and optimisation models (exact and approximate methods) for solving logistics and operations problems, in particular within the MAGPIE and NEXIUS projects. The work is part of the activity of the CESE's Operations Management and Decision Support team at INESC TEC.
Academic Qualifications
Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (specialisation Industrial Management) or related field;
Minimum profile required
Minimum 6 months of experience in developing simulation and optimization models; Experience in software development using Java and/or Python language;Master's degree average higher than 14.
Preference factors
Experience in developing simulation models in Flexsim. Experience in linear programming models and heuristics/meta-heuristics development Mastery of the fundamental concepts of operations management and logistics. Previous professional experience.
