Work description
The work to be carried out, under Task 7 of the CIDERWISE project work plan (2026–2027), under the scientific supervision of Ricardo Ferreira Soares, comprises the following sequential stages: 1. Literature review and definition of the framework of economic, environmental and social indicators relevant to the discarded-apple logistics chain; 2. Collection and processing of data; 3. Formulation and computation of the indicators, for integration in planning models.
Academic Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Engineering and Industrial Management, or relevant related fields, focusing on Operations Research methodologies.
Minimum profile required
- Completed Master’s Degree in the indicated areas;- Previous experience in the usage of mathematical solvers (e.g., CBC, Gurobi, CPLEX);- Previous experience in scientific research activities;- Advanced programming skills (Python or equivalent).
Preference factors
Previous experience in the formulation of performance and sustainability indicators (economic, environmental and/or social) for decision support.
