Management of hospital partnerships, data collection and analysis in the field of neurological diseases

Work description

INESC TEC's Biomedical Engineering Research Center (C-BER) has been establishing partnerships with several hospitals to advance research in the field of neurology, collecting data that is extremely important for the group's scientific advances in the diagnosis and follow-up of neurological diseases. This scholarship aims to have the candidate be one of the people in charge of the clinical studies that are going on, carrying out the data collection protocols and managing and analyzing the data.

Academic Qualifications

Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or similar fields.

Minimum profile required

Previous experience in data collection in clinical settings and in the use of medical technologies, as well as laboratory prototypes. Knowledge of signal processing techniques in the field of neuroengineering.

Preference factors

Previous participation in data collection in a clinical setting, preferably with patients with Parkinson's disease
