Work description

- Study and selection of the most relevant workflow engines with Python API. - Study and selection of scientific workflows with data sources from hybrid environments. - Design of a benchmark to evaluate different workflow engines. Implementation of an initial prototype of the benchmark to enable performance evaluation in hybrid environments of different scientific workflows. The tasks described in this work plan require the application and development of concepts and techniques in the area of Computer Engineering typically taught in curricular units that compose the core of the study plan of Integrated Masters in Computer Engineering or Masters in Computer Engineering.

Academic Qualifications

- BSc Degree in Informatics Engineering.

Minimum profile required

- Knowledge in distributed systems;- Knowledge with workflow management systems.

Preference factors

- Experience evaluating tools in a distributed context.
