Work description
Considering the context of processing data from different sources, potentially in text format, and its integration into the wider query processing, the following activities are defined: - Explore SQL query processing mechanisms; - Explore the file processing capabilities of command line utilities on UNIX-like systems; - Optimize, apply and measure a file interrogation processing mechanism; - Writing the activity report. The tasks described in this working plan demand the application and development of concepts and techniques in the area of Software Engineering which are usually introduced in curricular units included in the curricula of the Mestrados Integrados em Engenharia Informática or Mestrado em Engenharia Informática studies.
Academic Qualifications
BSc Degree in Informatics Engineering or enrolled in a Masters Degree in Informatics Engineering.
Minimum profile required
- Knowledge of query processing systems (e.g. Apache Calcite);- Solid knowledge on operating systems;- Solid knowledge on distributed systems.
Preference factors
